CM9Architects is a design practice based in Milan.
The practice is able to engage with projects of different scales, ranging from urban planning and regeneration to the design and renovation of public buildings, commercial spaces and private residences.
The practice is committed to a research-based approach, sensitive to the site, the experiential potential of materials and construction.
The practice is motivated by a strong concern for the environmental, social and economic aspects of sustainability that informs every design opportunity undertaken.

Salvatore Contaldo
Arch (Hons) MA AID
After graduating in Architecture in 2004, he firsty worked in Milan and then moved to London where, between 2005 and 2013, worked for a number of architectural firms including Allies & Morrison, contributing to several worldwide awarded projects.
In 2013, he moved back to Italy where he joined the Italian based agency of David Chipperfield Architects focusing on the development and application of the store concept for the fashion brand Valentino.
In 2016, with Eleonora Prestifilippo, he established CM9 Architects .
Salvatore is a chartered member of the Ordine degli Architetti, Pianificatori, Paesaggisti e Conservatori della Provincia di Milano.
Eleonora Prestifilippo
MArch
After graduating in Architecture in 2008, she moved to London where, between 2010 and 2013, worked for a number of architectural firms including Bennetts Associates and Claudio Silvestrin Architects, contributing to several worldwide awarded projects.
In 2013, she moved back to Italy where she joined Archea Associati continueing the professional route started abroad.
In 2015, with Salvatore Contaldo, she established CM9 Architects .
Eleonora is a chartered member of the Ordine degli Architetti, Paesaggisti e Pianificatori di Salerno.
