The project involves the transformation of a tailor's table into a small workstation to serve an architectural design office.
The metamorphosis of this object was achieved in few steps.
The starting point was to identify the functional program with its spatial and dimensional requirements.
The next step was to unzip the object of its previous appearance to expose its structure and its raw wooden parts.
The final act was to project the new functional program on the base in order to transform it into a new object.
On these premises, we operated in a surgical and selective manner, first removing the old fabric worktop and the lower support plan, then reducing the height of the legs and, finally, integrating the old base with a glass top and a wooden boiserie on which to hang drawings and documents to be revised.
The object is proposed as an autonomous spacecraft ready to dialogue with different contexts and possibly interact in a systemic logic.
